This seems like a dig at Sterling and Henderson…
As we all know by now, Liverpool were humbled yesterday by Aston Villa in the FA Cup, and we deserved to lose.
No players were at their best against a side threatened by Premier League relegation – and after falling behind 2-1 – we rarely created the necessary decisive chances.
Like many Liverpool fans, former centre-back Jamie Carragher took to Twitter in somewhat of a rage following the hapless performance – and appeared to single out the players involved in contract sagas for special criticism, as well as slamming our recruitment policy…
Big games need big players to do big things. Not many of them at Lfc which make wages demands of some ridiculous & the recruitment worse.

Raheem Sterling has turned down a £100k-per-week contract offer from Liverpool this season (via BBC Sport), and has refused to enter discussions until the summer, while captain Jordan Henderson is demanding £100k-per-week himself (via Daily Mail).
No Liverpool players looked worthy of a six-figure contract versus Villa, although we would ideally like both Sterling and Henderson to sign new deals, as Coutinho and Ibe have already done this campaign.
