Daniel Sturridge edged another step closer to full fitness on Wednesday. The Liverpool striker uploaded a video to his personal Instagram account of him running with the ball and even scoring into an empty net.
It’s a sight that supporters will be wanting to see many more times over the next twelve months, after watching the injury-plagued 25-year-old find the net just five times in all competitions last season.
As we reported yesterday, the Reds have already been handed a huge boost with the news that the England international could be back playing again within a month – well ahead of schedule – and is expected back to training in the next couple of weeks.

According to reports in the Daily Mirror, Sturridge is targeting the game against Manchester United at Old Trafford on September 12 for his first appearance back in a Liverpool shirt, as he targets a place alongside new signing Christian Benteke.
With Danny Ings and Divock Origi also for company this year, it’ll be even more important than ever for Sturridge that he gets back playing soon, so as to protect his place in the side.
