Liverpool are about to confirm their second high-profile loan deal out of the club of the week with Mario Balotelli having already departed to AC Milan.
Lazar Markovic, who, as every Liverpool fan will remind you, cost £20m last summer, is on the verge of agreeing a temporary switch to Fenerbahce.

And it would be fair to say the Reds reaction is less than positive.
Here’s some of the tweets from Liverpool fans:
I suppose there’s just something’s that we won’t understand… Or that the club doesn’t understand. #LFC #Markovic

Markovic should be staying. With him leaving, it only make our squad thinner. It doesn’t help. Europa, F.A Cup, EPL & League Cup? #LFC

Rodgers doesn’t have a clue! He’s not gibing Markovic and Borini the chances… @John_W_Henry @LFC #LFC

When Ibe replaced Firmino at Emirates my first thought was “it should have been Markovic”

Personally don’t think #Markovic was given a fair crack of the whip, especially when played at full back last season. #LFC

….Markovic may be talented but spending £20m on him when LFC had chance to get proven quality for not much more was utterly bonkers.

Lazar Markovic leaving #LFC on loan is ridiculous. A better player than Jordon Ibe, leaving for nothing.

We paid £36m for Markovic and Balotelli last summer. Balotelli now out on loan and Markovic about to do the same.

Markovic & Balotelli £36 million paid last summer, now off on loan.Terrible business.

FWIW I’d be picking Markovic over Lallana every day and thrice on Sunday.

Ibe maybe has more ability to impact off the bench but Markovic is much smarter tactically in tough away games when you have to defend.
