Our Wednesday evening Premier League game against Sunderland is approaching half-time, and we’re unlucky not to be winning.
Sunderland have been working hard, but we’ve had an number of chances, any of which could have seen the ball hit the back of the net.
Roberto Firmino has hit the post, forcing a wonder save out of Manone in the process. The Brazilian let rip, but the Sunderland stopper got the merest fingertip on the ball to divert it onto the woodwork.

Firmino also had a great chance in the 33rd minute. Clyne got the better of Sunderland’s full-back and played in a beautifully a accurate cross for the Brazilian. His header was powerful and on target, but Manone made another stunning save.
