It’s unbelievable, and shouldn’t distract from the good things Liverpool did in the first-half at the Britannia, but sadly – the hamstring curse has struck again. Twice, in fact.
Coutinho left the field after pulling up following a left-footed cross, and centre-back Dejan Lovren then seemingly pulled his own muscle after stretching for a tackle.
The injuries were even more desperately unlucky considering Liverpool played a superb 45 minutes, pressing relentlessly and carving out chances thanks to clever attacking movement and linkup play.

But by the 45th minute, Kolo Toure was partnering Lucas at the heart of defence with Mamadou Sakho also ruled out before the game.
We now have 11 players out injured who could arguably beat the side currently available to us.
