Martin Skrtel hasn’t played since before Christmas due to a hamstring injury, but it’s great to know that Liverpool’s progression into the League Cup Final still means just as much to our long-serving Slovakian defender from the stands.
A fan captured Skrtel going wild in a box last night, following Joe Allen’s decisive spot-kick in the shoot-out victory over Stoke.

The semi-final win means we’ll be going to Wembley next month, where we’ll face either Merseyside rivals Everton or Premier League favourites Manchester City – who face each other this evening.
Skrtel should be back for the tie, but with Dejan Lovren already healthy again, it’ll be interesting to see which two between Skrtel, Sakho and Lovren get the nod as Jurgen Klopp’s first-choice – as injuries have largely forced his hand in recent months.
