We’d heard lots about Marko Grujic’s talent since we signed him earlier in January, and Italian publication Gazzetta (cited by the Independent) have given him another endorsement by naming him in their list of the top teenagers in world football.
The 19-year-old, who’s currently back on loan at parent club Red Star Belgrade for the remainder of the season, was named no.20 – in just ahead of Chelsea’s Dominic Solanke and just behind Real Madrid wonderkid Martin Odegard.

Grujic is joining up with Liverpool properly in the summer after he wraps up an inevitable Serbian league title with Red Star.
He’s a fixture in their midfield, scoring five goals so far in his box-to-box role.
Grujic is strong, powerful and technically able, and we can’t wait to see him during pre-season.
He was actually Jurgen Klopp’s first official signing as Liverpool boss, and we hope that’s a good omen for the teenager going forward!
