Liverpool will play Anfield’s Merseyside Derby with Everton on Wednesday April 20th at 8pm, while we’ll host Chelsea at 8pm on Wednesday May 11th.

The club website has confirmed the new dates, and given Reds two exciting midweek games to look forward to.

Our fixture with Everton is just a few days before their Wembley semi-final, so there’s a chance Roberto Martinez will rest names with the Bitters not really playing for anything in the Premier League anymore.

Hopefully we’ll continue winning games in the lead-up and be genuine contenders for a top four finish by this point.

If we win our game in hand we’ll be four points behind Manchester City – not an insurmountable tally considering Manuel Pellegrini’s team’s current inconsistencies and the fact they’ll likely progress to the Champions League quarterfinals.

In April, should we navigate the Europa League Last 16, we’ll have a minimum of eight matches next month – potentially nine if we win the quarterfinal as well.

The Europa League quarters will take place on April 7 and 14, while the first-leg of the semi takes place on the 29th.

The more hectic the better! Bring it on!
