We’ve received a welcome boost from the medical staff ahead of our second leg crunch game with Man Utd on Thursday, as it was confirmed that James Milner will be fit for selection (via Echo).
He missed the first leg at Anfield after being struck by a virus on Wednesday morning at Melwood. In the event, Adam Lallana took his place and turned in one of his finest performances in a Liverpool shirt to date.
Milner had been enjoying what was arguably his best spell at the club since joining us on a free transfer last summer, but after the aforementioned Lallana, along with Coutinho and Firmino performed so well last Thursday and have enjoyed a week’s rest since then, he might be forced to settle for a place on the bench.

Elsewhere, Daniel Sturridge will presumably be asked to once again lead the line, Emre Can and Jordan Henderson will start in centre midfield, and Lovren, Sakho, Moreno, and Clyne will play in a back four.
That would mean an unchanged side from the one which won at Anfield, and after all the problems we caused them we think it would be a sensible decision.
