Our Europa League quarter-final opponents Borussia Dortmund have received a triple injury boost ahead of Thursday’s showdown.
Mats Hummels, Sokratis, and Ilkay Gundogan have all completed a full training session with the squad, less than 48 hours before kickoff in Germany (via Echo).
Hummels and Sokratis are the club’s first choice centre-back pairing, but both missed their side’s 3-2 win over Werder Bremen at the weekend. Hummels, who is the club’s captain, had a calf strain, while Sokratis was suffering from a stomach bug.
Midfielder Gundogan has been out of action for longer with a foot injury, but is now set to play at least some part in the Westfalenstadion.

Liverpool fans had hoped that we’d be able to play the game without having to face Gundogan. He is widely regarded to be one of finest box-to-box players in the game and is a regular for the German national side.
