Roberto Firmino has lauded his manager Jurgen Klopp, with whom he says he has a perfect understanding.
Liverpool signed the Brazilian when Brendan Rodgers was in charge, but the Northern Irishman didn’t really know how or where to use him. Firmino struggled early on as a result, but when Klopp arrived, having seen the attacker’s brilliance first hand in Germany, he made him an automatic starter.
In the year Klopp’s been in charge, Firmino has played all over the forward line, but crucially been given licence to roam and find space as he pleases – more so than any other Liverpool player.

It’s this intelligence which has led to many goals and assists. In fact, he’s already found the net three times in five matches this term.
Firmino, is loving life under our boss.
“I played against Klopp’s teams for four-and-a-half years,” Firmino told the Daily Mail.
“I know what he wants from a player. When I heard that he was coming to be Liverpool manager, I was so pleased. I could not have been happier.
“I knew what he was going to bring here. He brought a style of work and play from Germany and the team has adapted to it. Our friendship is crystal clear.
“There is nothing behind it. He is a great person. If you do what he asks you to do, you will never let him down.
“Can he make me the Neymar of Liverpool? It all depends on me.”
We watched Neymar dismantle Celtic midweek, and were flabbergasted by the Samba star’s genius. He truly is, for us, nailed on to be regarded as the world’s best player when Lionel Messi begins to decline, so if Firmino can get anywhere his level, Liverpool will be laughing!
As our no.11 says, it all depends on him.
