Simon Mignolet has lost his place in Liverpool’s starting XI and there’s an argument to say that solely based on this season’s performances, this is harsh.
He conceded goals in our opening Premier League matches, but none of them were noticeably his fault and Liverpool were still winning matches.
But Loris Karius came in for the EFL Cup game versus Derby and kept his spot against Hull last weekend. Now, it’s the German’s to lose and Belgian international Mignolet will have to be content with the bench.
Still, he posted this on Twitter last night ahead of our trip to Swansea, knowing he’s not going to play…
That’s impressive and the kind of thing certain members of the quad can learn from.
