Jurgen Klopp spent an evening talking with supporters last night and our friends at the Anfield HQ tweeted some of his best quotes from the night.
The German was in great spirits, and discussed the club’s trip to Barcelona this week where we trained in the warm weather for two days and went to the Nou Camp to watch Luis Enrique’s men thrash Borussia Monchengladbach.

Klopp says Liverpool enjoyed the trip, but promised that we’d be competing with them in the Champions League next year, and reckon our current side would have beaten the changed XI Enrique selected!
“It was great watching Barcelona with a hot dog in our hands and to relax in the summer, but then we will play them next year!” he said.
“The Barcelona team last night who we watched – we would have beaten them!”
Barca thrashed the Germans 4-0, with a hat-trick from Arda Turan – but we downed the Catalans by the same score at Wembley in the summer following a performance that in many ways set the tone for our season!
Obviously Klopp was in a jovial mood and these quotes shouldn’t be taken too seriously.
Our minimum aim this campaign is to finish in the top four though, and entering the Champions League with Klopp at the helm will be exceptional fun – at the very least!
