We’re pretty sure Jurgen Klopp will stick with Loris Karius against West Ham today, despite the young German’s poor show against Bournemouth last weekend…
But in Simon Mignolet, Liverpool have an experienced Premier League stopper and Belgium international on the bench. The 28-year-old has never impressed consistently between our sticks, but has outperformed the new signing this term – that much cannot be argued.

Mignolet has taken to Instagram to tell fans he’s ‘not moaning’ about Klopp’s decision to bench him – but will instead let his ‘feet do the talking’ – intimating that he’ll impress enough in training and the cup games to win a Premier League recall…
You have to admire Mignolet’s professionalism here; there’d be plenty of keepers who’d have thrown their toys out of the pram by now.
For us, so long as one of the keepers is playing and in form, we don’t mind who gets picked. For now, we hope Karius can turn it around.
