Liverpool are consistently linked to young teenage prospects, and if you look at our current Under-23 team, it’s clear that plenty of effort is put into bringing in the country’s best youngsters.
The likes of Ovie Ejaria and Sheyi Ojo both arrived from other English clubs as young teenagers, while Pedro Chirivella, Toni Gomes and Bobby Adekanye, to name but a few, were poached from foreign sides.
Today, we’ve been linked to Falkirk’s talented left-back Tony Gallacher in the Echo’s transfer roundup.
They claim the 17-year-old could be available for £750k, but that Barcelona and Manchester City are also keeping tabs on the teenage defender.

Gallacher has made seven starts for the Scots this campaign and has been scouted by ourselves as a result.
Over the summer we tried to sign Leicester City’s left-back Ben Chilwell, so it’s no surprise we’re after another youngster who plays the same role.
James Milner and Alberto Moreno have the first-team slot fairly well covered now, but another starlet to bolster our already impressive Under-23 team would go down nicely.
Although in truth, most fans would have liked a genuine first-team arrival of some description this January.
