Mamadou Sakho finally parted ways with Liverpool last night as he secured a loan move to Crystal Palace and seemingly brought an on-going transfer saga to an end.
It wasn’t the permanent £20 million move the Reds wanted but it did appear to confirm the end of the defender’s Anfield career.
Sakho hasn’t played for the senior team since April as a result of a doping investigation surrounding him, which he was later cleared of, as well as him being sent home from the pre-season tour of America for breaking disciplinary rules.
He has spent this season with the U23s but finally looks to have the chance to rebuild his career and regardless of what has happened, we hope he can begin to play his best football again.
Liverpool fans were quick to wish him luck on Twitter with many appearing to be disappointed over the Frenchman’s departure.
Good luck at Palace, Sakho. ?#LFC

Quality player!
He should be in our starting 11 alongside Joel Matip, not going out on loan…..#LFC

So Sakho on loan to Palace. Not sure how I feel about that. Trust Klopp’s judgement. Good luck lad. #YNWA
