Liverpool are likely to buy at least one central midfielder this summer, and another name has emerged as a possibility.
That man is Roque Mesa, who plies his trade in La Liga for Las Palmas.
Marca report that we’ve joined the list of potential suitors for the 27-year-old, which includes European giants such as Bayern Munich and Premier League rivals Everton and Spurs.

Sevilla (who know a good player for a bargain price when they see one…) made a £7m bid in January, but were immediately rebuffed.
Mesa has a £26m release clause and with his club desperate to keep hold of him, it’ll likely be a bid close to that which encourages them to sell.
The Spaniard is a tenacious tackler but also ticks over possession at the base of midfield. So good has he been, many expect him to earn a first call-up to Lopetegui’s Spain squad this March.
Emre Can’s currently involved in a contract dispute with Liverpool, with the two parties so far failing to agree terms on an extension to his deal which expires in 2018.
If nothing gets done this summer, we’ll have to offload, worried about losing the 23-year-old, who has a potentially high sell-on value, for nothing.
If this is the case, Mesa may be a viable alternative, although ideally Can will extend and we’ll go and buy another midfielder on top.
