What an afternoon at the Britannia…
At around 2pm, we got the news that Jurgen Klopp had bizarrely decided to start with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ben Woodburn instead of our two best available players: Coutinho and Roberto Firmino.
We went 1-0 down following a miserable first-half in which the 3-4-3 worked abysmally.
But after 45 minutes, the Brazilians came on and won us the game. First, our no.10 slotted in having had an earlier effort saved, before Firmino volleyed in an outrageous winner from outside the area.
It was a goal which will be played over and over again.
Such a crucial win, for the team and the boss. If we’d have lost with that team selection, Klopp would have been slaughtered.

Once Emre gets a run of games going, he’s terrific. Emerging as one of our standout performers in recent months. Get that contract sorted.

Dreadful tactics in the first half quickly remedied by the subs. Great turnaround, huge result.
