What LFC need to offer £25m man to force through transfer
Even a £70m bid from Liverpool will not be enough for the Saints to sell, especially after the tapping up saga which embarrassed our club so much earlier this month.
For the first time, we can perhaps categorically say that the 25-year-old will not be signing for Liverpool – sadly – although in the transfer market, you can never say never.
But Jurgen Klopp is still desperate for a top class new centre-back and now fans will be wondering who’ll we turn to in van Dijk’s place.
The likes of Leanardo Bonucci and even Jerome Boateng have been touted, but they’re world-class players at world-class clubs and will take even more effort securing than our seemingly failed pursuit of van Dijk did.
