Liverpool’s disappointing 3-3 draw against Watford didn’t drag by without producing several moments of sheer brilliance.
Though it wasn’t quite to the same extent, Emre Can followed up last season’s spectacular bicycle kick goal away to Watford by treating fans inside Vicarage Road to another noteworthy contribution.
In one passage of play, the German produced an exquisite touch to bring down a high ball whilst on the move, before launching a powerful bursting run into the Watford half, managing to out-muscle two opponents and winning a free-kick.
Can had already played a vital role in Liverpool’s first half equaliser, linking up superbly on the edge of the box with eventual scorer Sadio Mane.
With Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum both enduring a difficult afternoon, a by no means blockbuster Can performance was enough to remind fans of his value to Klopp’s midfield.
Here’s a look back at that rather special touch…

Unsurprisingly, supporters were somewhat mesmerised by the German’s moment in the spotlight:
For that touch and control alone Emre Can deserves £500,000 a week and a lifetime supply of hair gel

Emre Can is exactly what it would look like if a tank had deft ball control and a flair for the dramatic touch.
Plus boss hair.
