Based on what we saw in our UEFA Youth League run, Liverpool have a top talent on their hands with youngster Curtis Jones.
Judging from the reaction on Twitter below, his performance against Manchester City had a number of supporters excited about what he can go on and do for us if he is able to break into the senior squad in the years to come.

The 17-year-old midfielder was undoubtedly a key figure in our quarter-final run, although there was disappointment having lost to City on penalties.
Nevertheless, Jones bagged five goals in the competition and received plenty of well-earned praise along the way. There was heartbreak though as he saw his spot-kick saved in the shootout, but who better than Steven Gerrard to be on hand to give him advice that will serve him well for the future.
“They will have more highs than lows but you have to use those cruel ones that hurt, learn from them and try to make sure you don’t go back to this moment again,” he is quoted as saying by the Liverpool Echo.
“Curtis won’t realise it now but it will help him going forward. He will use it in the right way, I’m sure he will.”
That’s some very sound advice that Jones will be well-advised to take with him moving forward, but he certainly did enough to get most of us talking, as seen in the tweets below.
Competition is naturally fierce at senior level and so it will be interesting to see if Jurgen Klopp perhaps uses him in the cup competitions next season to allow him to adapt and develop his game.
Whatever the path, it’s hoped that Jones builds on this impressive run and continues to progress for us.
