We’re not massive on Alan Shearer for a few reasons.
Firstly, he’s worked with that rag before and secondly, chats rubbish about Liverpool during his punditry work.
But today, showed class by congratulating Mo Salah for breaking his long-standing goalscoring record.

Liverpool’s Egyptian put us 1-0 up against Brighton with his 32nd of the 38-game Premier League season, which incredibly, includes only one penalty.
What’s more, he’s played from the right-wing, making his achievements all the more incredible.
Below, you can check out what Shearer had to say and what he tweeted on the matter.

It’s superb to see Salah back amongst the goals before the Champions League Final.
He’s now got 44 in all competitions (at the time of writing), but we’d love to see him add to that tally in Kiev against Real Madrid.
If he’s on fire, we can do something incredible.
