Alberto Moreno could maybe have done better, but at the end of the day, you have to accept when a world-class player scores a phenomenal goal.
Eden Hazard is the in-form player in world football right now, and annoyingly for us, he made the difference when he came on in the second-half.

The Belgian skinned two of our players down the right wing, making a particular fool of our stand-in Spanish left-back, before pile-driving in a winner past Simon Mignolet.
We got unlucky tonight. The ref wasn’t especially kind and Sturridge hit the bar just before Hazard’s effort, but if we’re going to exit the EFL Cup, it’s best to do it nice and early.
Now the focus is on the Premier League and the Champions League.
That's stunning. We've been the best team by a big distance this 2nd half, but Hazard can win any game on his own.

It was like Hazard was making his way round Liverpool's half so he could run past each player once before scoring.

What a goal that was from Hazzard. That was like something from Pro Evo

Eden Hazard has put #CFC in front with a typically superb piece of individual brilliance after Emerson's leveller. A fine, fine goal. The visitors have been outplayed in this half, but have maximised their chances.
