International breaks are the absolute worst – of that, there can be no doubt.
Not only do they mean we can’t watch the Reds play for a couple of weeks, every time our players jet off to all corners of the globe, at least one comes back injured.
Naby Keita, Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Virgil van Dijk have all provided injury scares so far this time – and the matches have not even finished yet.

This statistic, though, proves that Reds fans are right to be fearful every time the Premier League takes a break.

We don’t know how that compares to the other Premier League teams, but it certainly feels very high. Hopefully, none of the knocks picked up so far are too serious.
