Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has begun his mind games in the Premier League title race – claiming he thinks Liverpool are better than his side.
The Reds went top after beating Bournemouth 4-0 and stayed there when City lost 2-0 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, and despite not yet clicking fully into gear, with almost half the season gone, Jurgen Klopp’s players sit at the summit of the Premier League table.

Via AOL, Guardiola said: “We’re not here to be invincibles, or to be unbeaten, we’re here to try to be champions. It doesn’t matter. We want to make one point more than our opponents.
“Now, at the moment, Liverpool are better than us.”
There is a long way to go in the Premier League title race, but keep getting results like the opening 16 games and Liverpool certainly have a chance. The game at the Etihad on January 3 could be a momentous occasion.
