Liverpool fans have expressed their delight over the news that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could return to first team action as early as March.
The midfielder has been sidelined since rupturing multiple ligaments in his knee during last April’s 5-2 Champions League semi-final first leg win against Roma.
His recovery process has entailed minor signs of progression in recent months, but none more meaningful than his participation in ball exercises during the Reds’ Dubai training camp earlier this week.
Footage of him fizzing the ball around with the club’s medical staff has been followed up by the revelation that he is scheduled to make his return to full training by mid to late February.
Providing there are no further setbacks between now and then, this could potentially see him become available for selection in Liverpool’s Champions League Round of 16 second leg contest against Bayern Munich on March 13.
Whilst understandably eager to avoid putting pressure on the Englishman, Reds have welcomed what would be a significant boost in the club’s hunt for Premier League glory.

Seem to be getting positive updates on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on a daily basis at the moment and I'm absolutely loving it. An early return for him would be a great reward for coming through what must have been a hellish year and he'll be a big boost for us too. #LFC pic.twitter.com/z3LAuoSoJ1
