Jurgen Klopp will have whatever financial resources he wants this upcoming summer to strengthen the squad.
That’s according to a report in the Mirror, based on an interview with Managing Director Billy Hogan in fcbusiness.
“From our perspective, what you are seeing is a continuation of that performance on the pitch and the reinvestment in the squad, which is the most important thing from our point of view; nothing is a distraction from putting a successful team on the pitch,” he said.
“Putting Jurgen and the guys on the football side in a position to compete at the highest levels, that is always our focus and we see our contribution to that in the form of being able to run the business in a better way and being able to drive revenues to invest back into the team.”
There’s the end of the season to worry about before we even consider what players will arrive in the summer, of course.

In depth look at United v Liverpool and the nebulous ‘Solskjær Affect’
Liverpool are going for the Premier League title and are still in the Champions League – so potential signings isn’t really a subject on the agenda just yet!
Whatever happens this term though, there will be a revamp before 2019/20. We’ll need new backups in plenty of positions, with Simon Mignolet, Alberto Moreno, Adam Lallana and Daniel Sturridge all potentially leaving.
We could also do with a top level forward or a wide-attacker to compete with Sadio Mane, Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino for minutes.
