Barcelona will move for Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold should they fail to acquire Neymar from PSG this summer, according to Fox Sports.
Signing a full-back instead of a forward would be a strange move, but the report claims that Barcelona view Alexander-Arnold as being so good offensively, he could be an alternative to the Brazilian superstar, who is proving difficult to capture.
Whether Barcelona would plan to use Alexander-Arnold in the front three, or would simply use him where the Reds field him is uncertain, but there’s no way it will ever get that far.

Jurgen Klopp hits back at Jamie Carragher over Sadio Mane comments
There is zero chance of the Reds letting Alexander-Arnold leave, and there is no chance that the 20-year-old would want to go.
He has become a vital cog in Jurgen Klopp’s Champions League-winning side and is loving life at Anfield, playing for his boyhood side and living the dream.
The suggestion that he could depart for Camp Nou makes no sense in either respect: he’s not a viable player for Barcelona to sign this summer, and even if he was, he’s a completely bizarre alternative to Neymar.
There’s a chance that Alexander-Arnold might fancy a new challenge towards the end of his career, but for the foreseeable future, he’s going to be staying put.
