A record number of Liverpool players have been named in their respective countries’ provisional World Cup squads, these players will all be probably going to South Africa next month, here is the full list.

Spain : Fernando Torres and Pepe Reina
Greece : Sotiros Kyrgiakos
Denmark : Daniel Agger
Slovakia : Martin Skrtel
I am gutted for Alberto Aquilani, Emiliano Insua, Fabio Aurelio, Lucas Leiva and Philipp Degen who did not make it.
Well, they can enjoy the rest this summer and be ready for our Europa League qualifier on July 29th.

I felt Lucas, Aquilani, Insua and Aurelio should’ve been selected for World Cup squads.
Don’t forget that Milan Jovanovic is in the Serbia squad. He should still be joining in the summer.

Jeez he’s going to feel absolutely terrible about that, especially as he had doubts about moving to Liverpool at first as he wasn’t sure how it’d affect his future with Italy.
