South Africa 2010 - FIFA World Cup

A record number of Liverpool players have been named in their respective countries’ provisional World Cup squads, these players will all be probably going to South Africa next month, here is the full list.

England : Steven Gerrard, Glen Johnson and Jamie Carragher
Argentina :
Javier Mascherano and Maxi Rodriguez
Netherlands :
Ryan Babel and Dirk Kuyt
Spain : Fernando Torres and Pepe Reina
Greece : Sotiros Kyrgiakos
Denmark : Daniel Agger
Slovakia : Martin Skrtel

I am gutted for Alberto Aquilani, Emiliano Insua, Fabio Aurelio, Lucas Leiva and Philipp Degen who did not make it.
Well, they can enjoy the rest this summer and be ready for our Europa League qualifier on July 29th.

Y.N.W.A. and good luck to the lads going, please return to Melwood in one piece.

  1. Don’t forget that Milan Jovanovic is in the Serbia squad. He should still be joining in the summer.

  2. Aquilani wasn’t picked?
Jeez he’s going to feel absolutely terrible about that, especially as he had doubts about moving to Liverpool at first as he wasn’t sure how it’d affect his future with Italy.

I’m just hoping he hasn’t been picked due to his injuries this year and not Liverpool’s poor season :/

  3. I believe Blumpots problem is that the Cupid Stunt is ginger and you know the problem with ginger tossers, they have no tanning capability and thus discriminate against anyone who has even the slightest hint of a skin tone! Oh, and he probably can’t find his insanely small penis which is hidden behind his one solitary pube!!

  4. Hello there,I like your site and it looks very interesting and easy to read, really!. I am from Argentina. I love the Soccer and cannot wait till 11th June, can you?.But there is a problem camming from FIFA. It is that doesn´t choose the best teams in this planet for the World Cup which it should otherwise don´t call the World Cup a final, if you want to play football for the soul of competition then go to the olympics games. this is basically what the World Cup is turning to, and it su…, ire needed to beat brazil to be in and is not, jap beat lowly teams as bahrain, qatar, kuwait, to be in, is this justice I dont think so, just because you are in the World Cup it doesn´t mean that you have the quality to be in like jap can attes. Any way, I expect to watch a great final on 11th July and my favorite winner team is Ghana, and my favorite player is Gerard Pique.Good blog and keep going.Cu!

  5. Fantastic web site and thanks for the details. It appears to be pretty tough to discover the world cup shirts in the US. Most stores don’t have them. The internet seem to be a excellent place to be a buy world cup shirt.

  6. As the event of the year gets closer, more excitement is being generated by the 2010 FIFA World Cup partners who want fans to plan the matches on Facebook, encourage Makarapa contestants or, in Johannesburg, paint a welcome banner and visit the Sandton Convention Centre.
