Today we heard of the tragic death of former Red Besian Idrizaj who died of a heart attack at the very young age of 22 this morning.
Besian spent three years at Liverpool from 2005 – 2008 and mostly featured in the reserves team. While at Liverpool the Austrian also served three loan spells with Luton Town, Crystal Palace and Wacker Innsbruck respectively. After he was released from L.F.C. he signed with the German outfit FC Eilenburg and later with Blackburn Rovers and finally with Swansea. Idrizaj also played twelve games for his country’s U21 team and scored three goals.
Although the youngster never played any competitive first team football for Liverpool he did play and score a hatrick against Wrexham in a friendly on 7th July 2007.
