David Ngog secured us a 2-0 win over FK Rabotnicki in the Europa League third qualifying round on Thursday night.
Unfortunately the match was not televised and I was dependent on the commentary and twitter. But from what I got to hear and read I’m able to assume that our lads played a good match and Rabotnicki not. :-9 Well, that’s even better. It means, that our lads didn’t have to labour and they’ll be fit on Sunday (friendly vs. M-Gladbach; 14:30 local time), and they will show us some good football.
What I also got is that there wasn’t much going on in the stadium: circa 5 fans and 2 vuvuzelas. That is how deep we’ve fallen …
Liverpool won the first “proper” match under Woy and congratulations for that!
The second leg will take place next Thursday, 5th August at 19:45 local time. Unfortunately I’m going to miss that game as well, because I’ll will be sitting on the plane back to Cologne. Ironically: from Liverpool …!!
Someone once said: “You can’t have everything in life”. Well, this smart-arse was bloody right!!

watched the game online last night – picture quality was poor but the result was fantastic and to be honest more than I had expected (I would have taken 0-0). Ngog played really well and showed signs of the player that people think he might be. Well done to the team – oh, and how fast is Amoo?
