Colombian midfielder currently stars for Inter Milan in Serie A…
The Mirror reckons that Liverpool will only move for loanees in January, and could target Inter Milan’s Fredy Guarin on a temporary deal in January.
The report claims that having spent a monstrous sum during the summer, the club will not sanction permanent deals, but will allow Rodgers to sign players on loan.
Liverpool apparently want to borrow Guarin, unsettled in Italy, until the end of the season, when they will consider signing the 28-year-old…
Chelsea have been consistently linked to the Colombian international, but have little need for him with their current strength in depth.
Guarin is a workhorse, and provides a decent platform from which the rest of his side can perform. In this respect, he’s not entirely different to Lucas, although he does offer slightly more creatively.
On a loan deal, Guarin could be an astute signing, although fans would prefer the club to target a striker as a priority.
