Coentrao a transfer target for a number of English clubs…
Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United have all been credited with an interest in Real Madrid squad player Fabio Coentrao, reports the Express.
The 26-year-old is very much the second choice left-bak at the Champions League holders, with Brazilian superstar Marcelo having the starting spot nailed down.
Injuries have affected the Portuguese international too, meaning he’s only made one La Liga start this season.
As a result, he’s been linked with a January move to some of the bigger European clubs, although it feels like our name has just been thrown into a spurious headline, in all honesty.
The report also links Coentrao to AC Milan and Besiktas, two clubs who are also in the market for a left-back.
Before signing another player for the position, Liverpool should give £12m summer signing Alberto Moreno a run of games.
Currently, the Spaniard is struggling to get in the side, with attacker Lazar Markovic starting the past two games as a left wing-back.
