His agent reveals the Spaniard is leaving.
There will be some disappointment around Anfield as Suso’s agent Jaime Serra has announced that his client will join AC Milan on a four-year deal.
Although the youngster has failed to truly establish himself at the club, there was a strong belief that the 21-year-old possessed talent and had shown real potential.
However, having entered the final six months of his current contract on Merseyside the Spaniard was free to discuss terms with foreign clubs and Milan have wasted no time in securing Suso.
“Yes, I can confirm that there is an agreement between Milan and Suso on a four-year contract,” Jaime Serra told The Liverpool Echo.
“There’s a possibility [he will arrive in January]. We’ll just have to see what happens between now and the end of the transfer window.”
Losing Suso on a free transfer is something of a blow, but no one can really blame the attacking midfielder after the lack of opportunities he has been given since arriving form Cadiz in 2010.
The Spanish starlet has made just 21 appearances for us in all competition since – admittedly spending last season on-loan with Almeria – although he did score on his last outing for us.
That came against Middlesbrough in the Capital One Cup and an injury to Suso’s groin soon after he has kept him out of action ever since.
