Telegraph harshly rank Brendan Rodgers behind Roberto Martinez and Louis Van Gaal in best Premier League managers list

Posted by

12) Rob Kelly (West Bromwich Albion, caretaker)

Not many Premier League managers can boast an unbeaten record, but Kelly can after securing a 1-1 draw against West Ham in his only game in charge.

11) Manuel Pellegrini (Manchester City)

City started their title defence slowly, but a positive run of results elevated them back into contention; while also seeing them progress in Europe. They’re still not as consistent as the Chilean would like however, and need to improve if they are to have any hope of retaining their title.

10) Tony Pulis (Crystal Palace, West Bromwich Albion)

Has already shown signs of turning West Brom around since taking charge. Pulis can boast an unbeaten record since taking over at the Hawthorns, and is well on track for Premier League safety.

9) Mauricio Pochettino (Tottenham Hotspur)

The revival at White Hart Lane has been steady if not spectacular. There are plenty of reasons for positivity in North London, including their upcoming Wembley date with Chelsea in the League Cup.
