Ezequiel Lavezzi (PSG)
We were linked with a move for Lavezzi throughout the window, but a move never materialised. Despite the incessant speculation failing to result in anything, the versatile Argentine would have been an ideal signing. The PSG man has a point to prove and could have done so at Anfield.
Emmanuel Adebayor (Tottenham)
Perhaps not an idea that will please most of our fans, but bear with me here. Seems like Spurs wanted to loan him out so wouldn’t a short term move have been a calculated gamble worth considering? Adebayor always scores a lot in the periods just after signing for a club, and so long as we don’t commit to a long term deal, this could have been useful – particularly if it propelled us into the top four.
