Liverpool transfer news
The news follows the story we brought you yesterday, which confirmed that Williams’ fellow youngsters – Jack Dunn, Jordan Lussey and Kevin Stewart – had all found new homes until the completion of the current campaign.
Williams has appeared on Liverpool’s substitute bench six times since the turn of the year, following on from his impressive debut against Middlesbrough in the Capital One Cup earlier this season.
The 19-year-old is highly rated by Brendan Rodgers and his team, and will now look to prove his abilities by saving County from relegation – a task that will be easier said than done.
They’re currently sitting outside of the League One relegation zone on goal difference, with 42 points from 37 games. With seven teams (from 17th to 23rd) currently separated by just five points, it’s crucial they pick up points soon.
They have only won two of their last ten games, and sacked manager Shaun Derry after last weekend’s 4-1 defeat to MK Dons. Next up they face Scunthorpe United, who sit just one point and two places above them.
