Toure’s deal was running out this summer, but he’s signed a one year extension, but the length of 22-year-old Wisdom’s extension has not been revealed.
The younger defender spent the season on loan at West Brom, and will arrive back at Anfield next term as competition for the right-back spot – with Glen Johnson expected to leave on a free and Jon Flanagan out for a long time with another injury.
Fans will of course question why Toure’s contract has been renewed when Steven Gerrard’s hasn’t – while hopefully Wisdom’s new deal will help enable him to maximise his potential.
