RM) Jordon Ibe
The right-hand side has been a constant problem position for us all season long. Nonetheless, we’ve found a gem in Jordon Ibe, who returned to us from his loan spell at Derby County earlier this year and marked himself down as one for the future.
CM) Steven Gerrard
Despite all of the speculation surrounding his future and the build-up to his departure, Gerrard has quietly had another solid year, scoring 13 goals in all competitions and ending the season as our top scorer. Even when not at his best, he’s still massively important.
CM) Jordan Henderson
Our captain-to-be has enjoyed a fine season at the heart of our midfield. He’s scored a couple of screamers – against Manchester City and Burnley – and proved that life after Steven Gerrard might actually be possible.
LM) Alberto Moreno
It’s been an up and down season for the Spaniard, who will want to forget a couple of major errors in big games, but should otherwise look back on this season as a decent debut in English football. He has something to build on.
