He did confirm his belief though that the 20-year-old winger and his odious agent Aidy Ward would like a move to the current Champions League holders…
But it looks like they’re set to be disappointed.
Liverpool cancelled contract discussions with Sterling and Ward in May (via Sky Sports) after the player’s representative claimed his client would not be renewing his Anfield contract – even for sums of up to £900k-per-week (via Evening Standard) confirming the intentions of Sterling to leave the club this summer.
However, it looks like we’re going to hold strong, and ESPN recently reported that we’re not going to let the attacker leave this transfer window under any circumstance.
It’s almost certain that the saga will roll on throughout the summer though, but in honesty – we’re more interested in the players we want to bring into the club.
