Liverpool transfer news
The Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper is available for nothing and is reportedly seen as the ideal replacement for Brad Jones – who will leave us this summer after five years at Anfield.
Simon Mignolet’s performances during the second-half of the season look to have secured his place as number one, but the signing of Bogdan will provide us with a decent number two. He’s done an excellent job for Bolton in recent years, having replaced Jussi Jaaskelainen back in 2011, and impressed against us in the FA Cup this year.
Despite his decent CV, many Liverpool fans have expressed their disappointment at the likelihood of the deal. Understandably, many of them were hoping to see us sign a top quality keeper who could rival Mignolet for his spot in the team. Although, if this necessary move frees up what budget we do have to be spent elsewhere, then the deal will probably be accepted.
