Performance: There are a two positives here. One is Luis Suarez. The second is the fact that we made a profit. However, you can’t really defend the madness of Roy Hodgson, who thought Poulsen could replace Mascherano and that Konchesky was a good player. Dalglish didn’t do much better, signing Carroll and selling Torres.

Performance: It was another crazy summer as Dalglish splashed the cash. Henderson has proved to be a success and will likely succeed Gerrard as captain next season. Adam and Downing both flopped and have since been sold, while Enrique and Coates have struggled with injuries. Bellamy did well during his second spell at the club.
