If Raheem Sterling hadn’t already cut all his ties with the Liverpool fans, he probably has now…
Such is the 20-year-old’s determination to leave us this summer, he’s refusing to embark on our pre-season tour of the Far East in order to force through a transfer to Manchester City, reports the Guardian.

Liverpool braced for £50m Sterling bid as Man City prepare to meet valuation
Sterling is back at Melwood with the rest of the first-team, but according to the report, he’s adamant that he will not be boarding the plane to Asia. As a result, he’s held direct discussions with Brendan Rodgers and the club’s hierarchy and alerted them of his intentions.
The Guardian report that City, who have already had two offers turned down for the England international, will go back in with a third bid soon – which will be close to our £50m valuation.
Rodgers though has told Sterling that unless a suitable offer arrives from City, the player will be expected to join up with the first-team and play his part in the friendlies – such is his duty as a contracted professional.
We’re hardly surprised by Sterling’s actions. He and his agent have behaved appallingly ever since turning down our initial £100k-per-week offer, and we’re looking forward to seeing the back of him.
Ironically, Rodgers once threatened to send Sterling home from a pre-season tour… Now – he’s refusing to even go on one.
