Markus Babbel (2000-2002; Games: 73)

Another member of our treble winning team. He was a reliable right-back for us and could of had a much lengthier career on Merseyside if it weren’t for illness ruling him out for a year and eventually causing his early retirement.

Jari Litmanen (2001-02; Games: 43)

The Finn was greeted as a ‘world class’ signing when he joined the club in the early 2000s. Unfortunately, he was never able to quite live up to those expectations, but he still scored several crucial goals that endeared him to fans.
