Jordan Henderson has officially won the race to be the Premier League player on the front of FIFA 16 – beating out competition from Harry Kane, Sergio Aguero and Thibaut Courtois.

The 25-year-old will be the first ever Liverpool player to star on the cover of the popular game series and, judging by his Twitter feed, he was clearly delighted to receive the honour.
It was an announcement that came just hours after he was revealed to be Steven Gerrard’s successor as Liverpool captain, completing a pretty memorable 24 hours for the England international.
Henderson will star alongside Lionel Messi on the FIFA cover, with the game set for release later this year. Here’s how both the club and the player reacted to the news…
