Jack Watts (17) – 6/10
A Scouser and a boyhood Liverpool fan – just what we like to see – and another midfielder looking to follow in the footsteps of every young Reds’ hero, Steven Gerrard. He mostly featured for the Under-18 team last year and will looking to push on again this season.
Owen Wheeler (17) – 5/10
An Adam Bogdan lookalike with a desire to join the Hungarian in the first-team squad in the future. This 17-year-old goalkeeper has been with us since 2012. He will compete with the likes of Andy Firth and Shamal George for a spot in the youth team.
Corey Whelan (17) – 5/10
A Republic of Ireland youth international who can play on both the right and in the middle of a defensive four. Like Trickett-Smith, he was a product of Crewe’s academy, before joining us back in 2007. He describes Liverpool as a passionate club and dream of playing at the top level of the game.
Harvey Whyte (16) – 6/10
Another player who started his career with Crewe. He made his Under-18s debut last season and is now expected to become a regular for the side during the coming season. He has trained with Scotland at youth level and looks to be a talented midfield player.
Harry Wilson (18) – 8/10
A full Welsh international from whom much is expected in a Liverpool shirt. He went on the tour of the Far East, and no doubt will have gained much from the experience, despite not featuring during a single minute of game time. He most admires Philippe Coutinho and wants to win the Ballon d’Or.
