Nathaniel Clyne
The best of our debutants. Clyne looked as if he’d been playing right-back for Liverpool for a decade. Defensively, as was his most important job, Clyne was perfect – winning his tackles and headers – as the Squawka stat below suggests. Clyne was signed because Glen Johnson was a liability at the back in truth, and thankfully, it seems like the former Southampton man is anything but. Keep up the good work.
