Liverpool fans constantly lament the absence of Daniel Sturridge through injury, but captain Jordan Henderson’s problems have probably affected us just as much.
And these statistics prove it. In fact, between 2010/11 and the start of this campaign, only world renowned Yaya Toure has contributed more open play goals and assists than our 25-year-old.
Henderson rates more highly than Aaron Ramsey, Ramires, Cesc Fabregas and Coutinho to name but a few. This is all the more impressive when you consider Henderson prides himself on his unbelievable work-rate and pressing, and is as key defensively to our side as he is offensively.
He’s due back after the international break and his return is going to be welcomes with open arms by the fan-base, his team-mates and the new manager Jurgen Klopp.
