Huge, exciting transfer news, Reds.
Liverpool have reportedly made a €32m offer for Shakhtar Donetsk forward Alex Teixeira, who’s scored 22 goals in just 15 league games so far this season.
And it’s from reliable sources too. Tony Barrett of the Times, and the Liverpool Echo.
Here’s what Barrett tweeted this morning:
Liverpool have made a €32m offer for Alex Teixeira but Shakhtar Donetsk are seeking closer to €50m for the attacker.

The Daily Mail states that Ian Ayre and a few other representatives have flown out to Florida, where Shakhtar are currently playing a friendly tournament, to discuss out a deal.
The Ukrainians want £29m for the Brazilian say the Mail, but Barrett’s tweet indicates they’re after closer to £38m – which for us seems a more realistic price-tag.
Teixeira has been in phenomenal form this season. The 26-year-old has three Champions League goals to go with his 22 league efforts, all the more impressive considering he’s actually been starting as an attacking midfielder – not a striker.
It seems as though Liverpool are desperate to add goals to the team this January, and are willing to spend big bucks in order to do it.
Teixeira would be a wonderful signing. He’s skilful, quick, has phenomenal movement – and most importantly – is a clinical finisher.
The Echo state he’s a Chelsea target though, so hopefully the Blues won’t scupper a potential deal.
