Liverpool U18s have qualified in the top group of the U18s playoffs, regardless of what happens in their final league game on Tuesday against Sunderland (via Echo).
The U18s have enjoyed a season to remember thus far. A win against Sunderland would see them finish on 43 points, five behind the leading duo of Man City and Everton, both of whom finished on 48.
They are also in the quarter-finals of the U18s FA Cup, with an away tie against Arsenal to look forward to on March 4th.
Even though the Sunderland game is a dead rubber for us, it is a lot more meaningful for the visitors – a win would see them overtake Blackburn and book their own spot in the post-season.

The four sides from the Northern group (Liverpool, Man City, Everton, and Sunderland/Blackburn) will go into a round robin tournament with the best four sides from the Southern group. Those four teams have already been confirmed as Chelsea, Reading, Fulham, and West Ham.
The sides will all play each other once, with the table-toppers being declared champions.
Good luck boys!
